Hiring Rate: $15.00 per hour
The City of Olathe is looking for a GIS intern to support the day to day operations of our GIS team. The GIS Intern plays a crucial role in working alongside our GIS team staff to support GIS activities and projects.

- Assist with GIS map production and other related work.
- GPS field data collection.
- Correction of Utilities data within SDE environment.
- Other related support activities.
- Perform duties and responsibilities as required.
Experience & Qualification Guidelines: Any combination of experience and education that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is acceptable. A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skills and abilities would be:
Experience: Entry level experience in GIS and past work or education using ESRI suite of products.
Qualifications:Good computer skills required, proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Strong problem solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in order to meet goals.
Education: High school diploma or GED. Prefer College student pursuing a degree in Geographic Information Systems.
License & Certification(s): Must be at least 18 years of age,have a valid driver's license with a favorable driving record.
